Welcome to our blog Radical Climate Change Solutions!
Let's start by introducing ourselves: We are Lars and Kristian, two engineers from Norway, concerned by Climate Change, but insisting that We Can Do This!
And we would like to add our contribution to finding solutions to battling climate change. Now, we're not at all alone in this (thank God!), but most of the solutions out there are rather streamlined. People are discussing the same solutions over and over again.
Our focus is a bit different from mainstream. What we would like to discuss are the weird science solutions, the radical solutions. Solutions that people are ridiculing today, but solutions that might save the day, in the end. Many of our solutions will focus on Green House Gas (GHG) Sinks. That is measures that bind up and soak up and remove GHGs from the atmosphere.
We believe that as the "ordinary" solutions, such as renewable energy, improved mileage etc are taking their time to be implemented, we have to look also for faster, radical solutions, that might soak up those GHGs right away!
For we are fighting against time, we have to act now! in order to succeed.
So we hope that you will join us in this, for the solutions that we will write about will have to be discussed over and over again, and scientific research will be of utmost importance.
So let the discussions begin!

Good plan! And when combined with emission certificates it could form a good system: polluting firms buy emission certificates from firms that eliminate greenhouse gasses. This creates competition between 'greenhouse gas elimination firms'(is there better word for this?), and promotes the development of more efficient methods.
I agree with you very much, Pendragon! The flexible mechanisms of the Kyoto protocol will revolutionise Climate Change mitigation :)
Now people are realising that there is money to be made in quotas, and that is truly good news!
